What a CP12 inspection covers
During the CP12 we check every gas appliance and its safety devices: domestic boilers (including flue and pressure), gas hobs and cookers, gas fires, visible pipework and ventilation. Tests include combustion checks where required, visual flue inspection and a gas tightness check. Common faults we identify are flue blockages, poor combustion (risk of carbon monoxide), damaged flexible connectors and unsafe pipe joints.
